Top Concrete Formwork Brisbane: Google 3-Pack rankings and 60% more leads in 8 weeks

How I used local citations and Google Business Profile optimisation to push Top Concrete Formwork Brisbane into the Google 3-Pack and lift inquiries by 60%.

Top Concrete Formwork Brisbane local SEO case study cover

Top Concrete Formwork Brisbane is a formwork and concrete contracting business serving the Brisbane and wider Queensland market. They came to me needing stronger local search visibility: the business was hard to find online for the very searches their ideal clients were typing, and incoming leads were inconsistent as a result.

The challenge

  • The business had little to no presence across local directories, leaving Google without the trust signals it needs to show a local business prominently.
  • The Google Business Profile was underutilised: missing service keywords, incomplete location details, and no customer reviews to reinforce credibility.
  • Competitors were occupying the Google Local 3-Pack for core terms like “Concrete Formwork Brisbane” and “Formwork Contractors Brisbane,” effectively capturing most of the ready-to-hire search traffic.

What I did

Social citations across 40+ platforms

I created and optimised business profiles on more than 40 trusted directories, including Google Business Profile, Yelp, Hotfrog, and Local.com. Every listing carried the same NAP data (name, address, phone number) to give Google a consistent, verifiable signal about the business. Each profile also included keyword-relevant descriptions and images to strengthen local relevance.

Google Business Profile optimisation

I rewrote the GBP listing with service-specific keywords and accurate location details. I then initiated a process to collect early customer reviews, which improved local trust signals and click-through rates from the listing.

On-page and schema work

I embedded geo-targeted keywords (“Concrete Formwork Brisbane”, “Formwork Contractors Queensland”) into meta titles, meta descriptions, and directory listings. I also implemented local business schema markup so the business details were readable by search engines in a structured format, improving how the listing appeared in results.

Why it worked

  • Consistent NAP data across all platforms directly signals legitimacy to Google’s local ranking algorithm, and without it even well-optimised listings underperform.
  • Building 40+ citations in a short window gave Google a broad, corroborating picture of the business faster than organic mentions would have.
  • Combining GBP optimisation with citations and early reviews is one of the most reliable paths into the 3-Pack for local trades businesses, where competition is real but the baseline citation footprint of most competitors is still thin.
  • Schema markup ensured the business details were machine-readable, reducing any ambiguity Google might have about the service area and business type.
