VaperChoice Australia: Branded Product Rankings with Contextual Backlinks and AI SEO
How contextual backlinks, Quora answer campaigns, and LLM-driven keyword expansion pushed VaperChoice Australia's key branded products to page 1 in 2-3 months.
VaperChoice Australia is an online retailer specialising in vape hardware and accessories, selling premium branded products including Atmizoo, Veepon TITA AIO, Cthulhu RBA AIO 60W Box Kit, Lost Vape, and qp Design. They came to me needing better search visibility for high-intent branded keywords, so that buyers already searching for these products could find VaperChoice before a competitor did.
The challenge
- Several key product pages, including Veepon TITA AIO, were not ranking at all for their target keywords.
- Other priority products like Atmizoo and Lost Vape were buried on pages 3 and 4, well outside buying consideration range.
- The site had a thin off-page profile with fewer than 50 referral visits per month from external sources.
- The goal required capturing buyers at the bottom of the funnel, people already searching for specific vape brands and kit names, not broad category queries.
What I did
Contextual backlink creation
I placed anchor-text backlinks within relevant discussions on vape forums, product FAQ pages, and Q&A threads. Each placement was contextual and value-driven. For example, when someone asked “What is the best AIO vape kit?”, I answered the question and linked naturally to the Veepon TITA AIO product page. For “Best rebuildable box kits?” queries, I linked to the Cthulhu RBA AIO 60W page. The principle throughout was that the link had to belong in the content, not feel inserted.
Quora answers and FAQ backlinks
I posted detailed answers on Quora addressing common vaping questions, integrating client product URLs with informative anchor text such as “check out VaperChoice’s Lost Vape collection.” I also created FAQ-style content on supporting sites, which both passed authority and generated direct referral traffic from readers actively researching purchase decisions.
AI SEO with LLM-optimised content
I used LLM-driven keyword expansion to uncover semantic variations the product pages were not targeting, things like “best Atmizoo mods Australia” and “qp Design RDA review.” I generated long-tail FAQ content from these expansions and published it on blogs and Q&A sites with backlinks pointing to the relevant VaperChoice pages. I also built an AI-augmented internal linking structure to pass authority between brand pages more effectively.
Backlink diversification
To maintain a natural backlink profile, I mixed dofollow and nofollow links and spread placements across niche forums, Q&A platforms, blogs, and social platforms. Link velocity was kept natural throughout to avoid spam signals.
Results
| Metric | Before | After (2-3 months) |
|---|---|---|
| Ranking keywords in top 10 | 12 | 38 |
| Atmizoo (AU search) | Page 3-4 | Page 1 |
| Veepon TITA AIO | Not ranking | Page 2 |
| Lost Vape (brand keyword) | Page 4 | Page 1-2 |
| Referral traffic from Quora and FAQs | less than 50 visits/month | 350+ visits/month |
Keyword rankings improved significantly for all target branded product searches. Referral traffic from Quora and FAQ placements grew to a steady stream with high dwell time, indicating readers were genuinely interested in the products before clicking through. Domain trust and topical relevance both increased as contextual backlinks from niche sources accumulated. More traffic came from product-focused queries with clear buying intent, which translated into stronger conversion signals on key product pages.
Why it worked
- Contextual placement meant each backlink genuinely helped the reader, making it more likely to be indexed, kept live, and clicked. Spammy placements get removed or ignored; helpful ones stick and compound.
- Quora and FAQ content targets buyers at the research stage, people who are close to a decision and just need reassurance about which specific product or retailer to choose.
- LLM-driven keyword expansion surfaced long-tail queries that the product pages were not yet targeting, giving the link-building campaign a broader ranking footprint than exact-match anchors alone could have produced.
- Mixing dofollow and nofollow links across diverse domains kept the backlink profile looking organic, which is essential in a niche like vape hardware where Google scrutinises link patterns carefully.
